Since lock down young Oakley from Colchester has spent weeks making hundreds of individual pictures to sell to raise money for the NHS. On Tuesday he was rewarded for his efforts with a shopping spree in Toy Store.

On Tuesday 16th June, staff at Smyths Toy Superstore in Tollgate, Colchester welcomed Oakley in to the store after hours for a private shopping experience.

Staff clapped Oakley entering the store & congratulated him with a little speech to say well done on raising the money for the NHS. They then handed him a voucher/gift to shop on his own.

Oakley’s Mum said “Oakley raised £621 and donated it to the NHS by doing individual drawings (over 100) he spent weeks and weeks, hours a day doing it and worked so so hard”.

“Oakley was very shocked & very grateful”
